I am attending the House Committee on Small Business hearing today on “Assessing the Impact of the Copyright Royalty Board Decision to Increase Royalty Rates on Recording Artists and Webcasters.” It should be interesting. It is nice to see that HR 2060 is finally moving forward with a hearing. Of course, there is also the markup, then the full House. And the Senate. And the President’s signature….. But this is a start. Of course, there are only 7 Congressional working days until the new fees are due.
